Corporate Structure
Our organisational structure is made up of Global Business Units (GBU), Selling and Market Operations (SMOs), Global Business Services (GBS) and Corporate Functions. It combines global scale benefits with a local focus on consumers and retail customers in each country where P&G products are sold.
Our portfolio is organised around ten category-based Global Business Units (GBUs), and our category business leaders have full decision-making authority for their businesses. These are categories where P&G has leading market positions and where product technologies deliver performance differences that matter to consumers. GBUs are responsible for developing overall brand strategy, new product upgrades and innovations and marketing plans. Our ten categories include Baby Care, Fabric Care, Family Care, Feminine Care, Grooming, Hair Care, Home Care, Oral Care, Personal Health Care and Skin and Personal Care.
Our Selling and Market Operations (SMOs) are responsible for developing and executing go-to-market plans at the local level – and include dedicated retail customer, trade channel and country-specific teams. Their focus is effective and efficient selling, distribution, shelving, pricing execution and merchandising for consumers, channels, customers and markets in six regions:
- Asia Pacific
- Europe
- Greater China
- India, the Middle East and Africa (IMEA)
- Latin America
- North America
Global Business Services (GBS) operates and supports the infrastructure, operations, systems, and shared services that run P&G. GBS also discovers, develops, and implements technologies to accelerate and advance the work of P&G brands.
Corporate Functions provide company-level strategy and portfolio analysis, corporate accounting, treasury, tax, governance, human resources, information technology, and legal.
