P&G Champions Women's Leadership and Opportunity at the IWG Women & Sport Summit
What Is the IWG Women & Sport Summit and Why Did P&G Participate?
P&G was proud to participate in the 2026 International Working Group (IWG) Women & Sport Summit in Birmingham, one of the world's leading events focused on advancing gender equality in sport.
Bringing together leaders from sport, business, academia and advocacy, the Summit explored how organisations can create more opportunities for women and girls to participate, lead and thrive in and through sport. As the Official Insight Stage & Hive Partner, P&G contributed to conversations on women's leadership, participation, visibility and the future growth of women's sport.

What Can Sport, Business and Family Life Teach Us About Leadership?
One of the highlights of the Summit was a fireside conversation featuring Alex Carnegie-Brown, P&G Sales Leader and Great Britain Women's Lacrosse Head Coach.
Drawing on her experience balancing senior leadership, elite sport coaching and family life, Alex shared lessons on sustainable leadership, the transferable skills between sport and business, and the importance of support systems in helping people pursue their ambitions.
Alex also highlighted how employers can help create sustainable leadership pathways by recognising the whole person and supporting employees through different life stage.
"The things that help me lead a team in business help me coach athletes, and the things I learn through sport make me a better leader at work."

What Is Driving Investment in Women's Sport?
P&G was also represented on stage by Stacey Reherman, North America Head of Sports Marketing, who joined a main stage panel discussion titled The Business of Women's Sport. The session explored the rapid growth of women's sport, the opportunities for brands and investors, and the role partnerships can play in accelerating progress. The other panellists included Amanda Staveley, CEO, PCP Capital Partners, Fabio Azevedo, President, International Volleyball Federation and Sally Horrox, Chief of Women’s Rugby, World Rugby.
Drawing on P&G's long history of supporting women and girls in sport, Stacey discussed how the company's partnerships - from the Olympic and Paralympic Games to the WNBA - help increase visibility, remove barriers and connect authentically with athletes and fans. She also highlighted the growing commercial and cultural influence of women's sport and why it represents a significant opportunity for brands.
"It's not about sponsorship. It's about partnership and how we can grow the sport together."
A key theme of the discussion was that the most successful partnerships create value for everyone involved – athletes, fans, sports organisations and brands. Stacey shared how P&G looks beyond traditional metrics to measure success through cultural impact, consumer connection and helping women and girls stay and thrive in sport.
