Careers at P&G UK: Building Careers in a Culture of Belonging
P&G is a leading UK employer where employees can build a meaningful career. The company is defined by its commitment to providing real responsibility from day one, world-class training and development, and a supportive, inclusive culture where every employee's well-being is a priority.
The culture at P&G is built on trust, integrity, and inclusion. It is a collaborative environment where employees are encouraged to be their authentic selves, build trusting relationships, and are empowered to make a meaningful impact on the business.

At P&G, we believe belonging is fundamental to building a great career, especially at the early stages. That belief is backed by a new study of 2,000 UK adults1 showing workplace belonging now plays a defining role in retention. Three quarters (75%) of UK workers say they would commit to a company for years if they feel valued, while 73% would stay longer where they feel a genuine sense of belonging. In contrast, nearly six in ten (59%) say they would leave a job where they don’t feel part of a team.
Feeling supported, trusted and included from the start can shape confidence, development and long term growth. That’s why at P&G belonging is something we work to create every day.
Belonging Starts with Everyday Experiences
P&G set out to understand what belonging means to people in the UK workplace. Brits describe it through simple, human moments at work and the research highlights that it is most often defined by:
- Feeling respected by colleagues (47%)
- Feeling accepted for who they are (45%)
- Not feeling like an outsider and feeling part of a team (44%)
These everyday experiences shape whether people feel confident, included and able to thrive at work.

Encouragingly, more than four in five (82%) employees now say they feel a sense of belonging at work, the highest level in over a decade, reflecting continued investment by employers in culture and employee experience. Yet there is still a gap between feeling it occasionally and living it every day. Just 20% of UK workers say they consistently experience the conditions that make them truly feel they belong (less than one in five workers) which shows employers still have more to do.
At P&G, our aim is to close that gap by creating an environment where belonging is seamlessly built into how teams work, lead and grow together.

Growing Your Career at P&G
P&G supports employee growth through a ‘build from within’ culture, operating as a world-class leadership academy. Employees have access to industry-relevant training, diverse roles across a broad portfolio of brands, and opportunities to build multiple careers within the company.
This means structured development, real accountability and close support. P&G supports early careers by providing significant responsibility from day one. Graduates, apprentices, and interns are entrusted with meaningful projects, receive dedicated coaching, and learn from experienced leaders to build a strong foundation for their careers.
Many of P&G’s leaders began their journeys through graduate and entry level roles, building long term careers through continuous development and shared ambition.
“What this research shows is that while the fundamentals of belonging remain consistent, how people experience it evolves across life and career stages.” Catellani continued “At P&G UK, we see this every day, with five generations working, learning and growing together. For those earlier in their careers, belonging is often about being seen, supported and given opportunities to grow. For more experienced colleagues, it is about respect, inclusion and feeling part of something bigger. Our role as an employer is to create an environment where both can exist at the same time, so people at every stage can thrive and build long term careers with us. This is where our ‘build from within’ culture comes into its own, creating opportunities for colleagues to share their ambitions, develop skills and, ultimately, progress. It’s one of the hallmarks of P&G culture, with a sense of belonging at its core.”
